Companionship Lead

Give a Dog a Bone…and an animal a home

Role of Companionship Lead in our NEW Community Space in Alloa.

Closing date for this vacancy is 5pm on Monday 16th December 2019.

Give a Dog a Bone…and an animal a home (SC044440) is a young, unique and award winning charity, supporting the over 60s to afford a rescue pet companion.

We aim to tackle loneliness for the individual and homelessness for the animal, by removing financial barriers to an over 60s person adopting a rescue animal.

We currently have 2 sites in Shawlands and Troon that offer ‘Companionship in the Community.’ This is where we provide a safe space for retired people to make new friends, learn new skills and mix with dogs!

We are now excited to announce that we intend to open a new Community Space in Alloa and so we are looking to fill the role of Companionship Lead.

The successful candidate will be warm, friendly, capable and have some knowledge of animal rescue. We would require this person tohave access to a well behaved dog who can regularly come to work. Flexibility to travel to the other sites will be required.

This is a part time role of 15 hours per week.

Please note that the closing date for this vacancy is 5pm on Monday 16th December 2019.

Interviews will be held mid January 2020.

The offer to the successful candidate will be conditional upon the provision of satisfactory references and a Disclosure Scotland check.
