Companionship Lead

Give a Dog a Bone…and an animal a home

Closing date for this vacancy is 5pm, Friday 19th March 2021

Companionship Lead – Troon

Give a Dog a Bone…and an animal a home (SC044440) is a young, unique and award winning charity, supporting the over 60s to afford a rescue pet companion.

We aim to tackle loneliness for the individual and homelessness for the animal, by removing financial barriers to an over 60s person adopting a rescue animal.

In January 2018, we extended our charitable offering to include a Community Space project – ‘Companionship in the Community’.  This is where we offer a safe space for retired people to make new friends, learn new skills and mix with dogs!

We now have three locations – Shawlands (Glasgow), Troon and Alloa.

We currently seek a Companionship Lead, who shall be based mainly at our Troon Community Space, however, with flexibility to travel to Shawlands as and when required.  The successful candidate will be warm, friendly and capable.

This is a part time role of 24 hours per week over a 4 day period, however, flexibility is a must for this role.

Please note that the closing date for this vacancy is 5pm on Friday 19th March 2021.

The offer to the successful candidate will be conditional upon the provision of satisfactory references and a Disclosure Scotland check.
