If money is a genuine barrier to caring for your pet, or if you would like to adopt a rescue pet companion but are unable to afford the rehoming fee – we can help.

Please note: If you would like help with covering the cost of the rehoming fee, please make sure you have found the animal you want to adopt first. We are sadly unable to find an animal for you.

Rehoming a rescue animal Once you have found the animal you want to adopt, reach out to us to see if we can help cover the rehoming fee.

Application is a 2 step process:

Step 1: An initial telephone call with Louise Russell, Charity Founder, to asses your eligibility to apply for financial support. Call 07969 742 858 for a chat.

Step 2: After your initial phone call, if you are eligible you will be sent an application form to complete.

If your application is successful, we will transfer the fee directly to the rehoming organisation and you can take your new animal friend home.

“Without Give a Dog a Bone, I would not have been able to find the amazing new family for my little Bischon Felix – who we had to rehome due to family illness.

This charity are also looking into supporting my parents financially with their senior dog and trying to arrange a volunteer dog walker for them!!

You are truly an amazing and selfless charity.”

We support the over 60s to afford a rescue pet companion. If money is a genuine barrier, we can pay the rehoming fee for a RESCUE animal and continue to support, each month, with the cost of pet food.
