Volunteers are an integral part of the GADAB team.

Volunteers help in many aspects of our work, whether it is raising money at events, helping to spread the word locally or ensuring our visitors get a warm welcome within our Community space.

Every role is so important to us and our success.

Companionship in the Community

How do I become a GADAB volunteer?

Our application process is designed to be nice and straight forward. All of our volunteering opportunities come with a role profile which tells you exactly what skills, experience and qualities you need to have to get on board.

Before you join us as a volunteer, you may be asked to attend an informal interview either in person or over the phone. In addition you may be offered the opportunity to come along for a trial shift at your local Community Space. This is a great opportunity for you to find out more about the role, meet the staff and get a sense of whether the opportunity is what you are looking for. It is also a chance for us to understand if you are a good fit for the team!
