How do I become a volunteer?

First you need to identify a suitable role that we are actively recruiting for! Once you have found your perfect opportunity, please complete the online application form. From here, we will consider your application against the role criteria and, if you’re a good match, we will contact you with next steps, which may include an informal interview.

What age should I be to volunteer with you?

We do ask that all our volunteers are over the age of 18.

**We have a very limited number of Duke of Edinburgh volunteer positions, get in touch to check current vacancies!  Please email us on hello@giveadogabone.net, stating your location and preferred Community Space.**

How much time do I need to commit?

The actual time commitment will vary from role to role. Check out our individual role descriptions for more info!

Who do I contact for further information?

You can pop into any of our Community Spaces for a cuppa and a chat! Alternatively feel free to contact the team on hello@giveadogabone.net.

About us

Give a Dog a Bone…and an animal a home is a young, unique and award winning charity, supporting the over 60s to afford a rescue pet companion.

We aim to tackle loneliness for the individual and homelessness for the animal, by removing financial barriers to an over 60s person adopting a rescue animal.
